Our Story
"Be extraordinary and adorn yourself everyday!"
A Beaded Queen started out as my lifelong passion for creating beautiful things. Growing up as a young girl in Cook Forest in the late 60’s early 70’s, my family had 1 car and not a lot of money. I am 1 of 3 children with the 2 others being boys. Early on I had a passion for fashion and design. Where there’s a will there’s a way, so the only way I could fulfill my passion and to be who I am, was to create it myself. I learned to sew, dye fabric, alter hand me downs or sale items, embroider and embellish with whatever I had to work with. This is how I became the way I was and still am today. My passion has helped me in every aspect of my life, so after retirement I learned how to bead. I met a lady at an artisan market in Florida that offered classes and after 1 class I was hooked. I began to accumulate a large stock of my handmade beaded jewelry so I decided to start selling my creations. Whether it be a necklace, bracelet, earrings or a ring, know that you are adorning yourself with the oldest art form known to man. This being said be extraordinary and adorn yourself everyday!
